A portrait of the reigning World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse, Justified Honors, was recently presented to the Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture, Dr. Charlie Hatcher, in Nashville.
The official World Grand Champion portrait, by photographer Shane Shiflet, was unveiled in December at the TWHBEA Awards Banquet and is displayed at Ellington Center, home of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. On hand for the presentation of the portrait were (pictured from left to right) Mark Farrar, TWHBEA executive director, Warren Wells, Celebration CEO, Jack Heffington, TWHBEA president, Dr. Jim and Lisa Baum, owners of Justified Honors, Commissioner Hatcher, and John Allen Callaway, the trainer and rider of the champion.
The portrait is also displayed at the Tennessee Visitors’ Center in Portland, the Tennessee Welcome Center in Hartford, Agri-Center International in Memphis, Henry Horton State Park, the TWHBEA headquarters, and The Celebration main office.
