The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) is pleased to announce the judges for their upcoming shows in July and August.

 

The World Versatility Championship, scheduled for July 20 and 21 at Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee will welcome Sarah Jane Martin of Montgomery, Texas as the judge for the Hunter Hack, Over Fences, and Dressage classes. Ashlyn Avent from Murfreesboro will serve as the judge for all other classes. This year will be the 25th annual edition of the show, which has become the largest show produced by TWHBEA. The pre-entry deadline for the World Versatility Championship is Friday, July 14. More information can be found at www.twhbea.com/WVC.

 

Mike Carpenter of Franklin, Tennessee will be the judge for the TWHBEA Summer Sizzler Halter Show, scheduled for Sunday, July 30 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He will judge all classes except for Showmanship, which will be judged by Dr. Doyle Meadows of Fayetteville, Tennessee. The show is being held on the old football field behind the former high school in Shelbyville – the site of the first nine years of The Celebration. This will be the first time a horse show has been held on the property since 1947, the last year The Celebration was there. The entry deadline for the show is 5pm on Friday, July 28. The Tennessee Walking Horse Youth Association (TWHYA) has selected Thom Meek of Nashville, Tennessee to judge their show, the Summer Splash, on Saturday, August 12 in Belfast, Tennessee. This show is produced by the youth members and is their biggest fundraiser of the year. The class sheet and complete information can be found at www.twhbea.com/event/splash.
