The Tennessee Walking Horse Youth Association (TWHYA) is excited to announce the establishment of “The TWHYA Trunk,” a show clothing closet at the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) headquarters in Lewisburg, Tennessee.  The closet will be stocked with gently used show clothing and accessories donated by generous individuals from within the industry.  These items will be available for members to peruse any time they visit the TWHBEA headquarters. “It’s our hope that this will make it more affordable for more youth to be able to experience the fun of showing,” says Chris Hazelwood, Youth Vice-President for TWHBEA.

TWHYA will begin collecting show clothes during the National Trainer’s Show, March 15-18 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. New and used English and Western show clothing will be accepted in donation for children and adults in the Tennessee Walking Horse Industry. Donations can be dropped off at the TWHBEA satellite office each night of the show from 5pm to 8pm or at the TWHYA booth on the arena concourse each night of the show.

In conjunction with the clothing drive, TWHYA will also be conducting a youth membership drive.  Youth memberships are available for $20 per year and any youth that joins during the Trainers Show will be entered in a drawing to be held at the conclusion of the show.
