A luncheon was held recently in Franklin, Tennessee for show managers and organizers to update them on pending regulations from the USDA that could potentially impact their shows in the coming year. Although information from the USDA is currently limited, attendees heard an update along with a panel discussion on “best practices.” The panel included representatives from some of the most successful horse shows in the industry who shared their expertise and ideas during the discussion, which lasted almost two hours. Panelists included Margo Urad, Dee Cantrell, Sarah Smith, and Wayne Dean. “A healthy show circuit is critical to the overall success and health of our industry,” said TWHBEA CEO Mark Farrar. “We want to assure show managers that we are committed to minimizing any impact from potential changes will support them every step of the way to make sure their show is a success.”
