World Grand Champion Portrait Presented to Commissioner of Agriculture

For the third year in a row, the portrait of reigning World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse, Justified Honors, was presented to Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture, Dr. Charlie Hatcher, in Nashville. The official World Grand Champion portrait, by photographer Shane Shiflet, commemorates his historic third consecutive World Grand Championship. Only two other horses have ever achieved this monumental distinction. It was unveiled in December at the TWHBEA Awards Banquet and is displayed at Ellington Center, home of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. On hand for the presentation of the portrait were (pictured from left to right) John Allan Callaway, trainer and rider of the champion, Dr. Jim and Lisa Baum, owners of Justified Honors, Warren Wells, TWHNC CEO, Commissioner Hatcher, Amanda Wright, TWHBEA President, Mark Farrar, TWHBEA CEO, and Jeff Aiken, Deputy Commissioner. In addition to being displayed at the Tennessee Visitors’ Center in Portland, the Tennessee Welcome Center in Hartford, Agri-Center International in Memphis, the TWHBEA headquarters, and The Celebration main office, two additional Tennessee Welcome Centers will now display the portrait. The portraits will now be displayed at the I-65 Welcome Center as you enter Tennessee from Alabama and at the I-155 Welcome Center in Dyersburg, TN.
