The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association is proud to announce that the 28th Annual TWHBEA World Versatility Championship (WVC) will be held July 14–16, 2026, at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

As one of TWHBEA’s premier annual events, the World Versatility Championship highlights the athleticism, trainability, and diverse talents of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Nearly $8,000 in prizes and awards will be presented across approximately 60 classes, including traditional and western dressage, halter, equitation, speed events, western riding, reining, trail obstacle, and more.

“The energy this week brings to Murfreesboro is truly special,” said Lyn Montgomery, TWHBEA Vice President of Versatility and Trail. “With the World Versatility Championship and the International taking place together, we have the opportunity to showcase some of the top flat shod Tennessee Walking Horses in the world. It’s exciting to see that level of talent and dedication all in one place, competing across so many disciplines.”

Competition begins Tuesday, July 14, with Traditional Dressage. Western Dressage and Trail Obstacle classes will follow on Wednesday, July 15. The remaining WVC classes will take place Thursday, July 16. The event will conclude with a dinner and awards ceremony recognizing the Overall, Youth, Adult, and Elite High Point Champions.

Once again, the WVC will be held in conjunction with the 48th Annual International Pleasure & Colt Grand Championships. Dressage classes for both events will run concurrently July 14–15 with separate judges. All stall and camper reservations are handled by the International.
