For the first time in several years TWHBEA has implemented updates to its International High Point Program. The changes took effect at the start of the current program year on October 1, 2025.

Among the most notable updates is the addition of new divisions and categories designed to better reflect participation across the industry. New categories have been introduced for equitation, showmanship, academy, and versatility classes. The newly created versatility division includes traditional dressage, western dressage, time events, trail obstacle, and game classes.

Additional enhancements have been made within the pleasure horse division. Pro-Am and Am-Am categories have been added to align with offerings currently available for performance horses. An Open Canter category and an Amateur 50 & Over category have also been introduced for pleasure horses, mirroring similar opportunities in the performance division.

To ensure eligibility for points, both the horse’s owner and exhibitor must be current TWHBEA members in order for points to be earned at affiliated shows. A complete list of affiliated shows is available at www.TWHBEA.com/events.

These updates reflect TWHBEA’s continued commitment to expanding opportunities and recognizing achievement across a broad spectrum of disciplines within the Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
