TWHBEA Trails Program

For Registered Tennessee Walking Horses

For Unregistered Tennessee Walking Horses and all other breeds

REQUIREMENTS:

  • To obtain hours, both owner and rider must be current members of TWHBEA.
  • All riding must be done on trails, arena riding and lesson hours are not eligible.
  • Ride length is determined by time in one half hour increments after the first hour.
  • Log books must be postmarked by October 15th for High Point Awards
  • Annual $25 fee per horse must be paid.

AWARDS:

  • 50 hours – Jacket Patch
  • 100 hours – Chevron Bar and TWHBEA Cap
  • 250 hours – Chevron Bar and TWHBEA Horn Bag
  • 500 hours – Chevron Bar and Engraved Halter
  • 1,000 hours– Chevron Bar and Insulated Jacket
  • 1,500 hours– Chevron Bar and Insulated Saddle Bags
  • 2,000 hours– Chevron Bar and TWHBEA Saddle Pad
  • 3,500 hours–  TBD
  • 5,000 hours–  TBD
  • 7,500 hours–  TBD
  • 10,000 hours– TBD

The TWHBEA Trails Program is designed to recognize trail riding enthusiasts who enjoy spending quality time on the trail and competing in trail events.

  • Owners and riders must be members in good standing of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) during the time the hours are accumulated.
  • Any number of TWHBEA registered horses may be entered by a member.
  • Hours or mileage logged in one ride can not be recorded toward multiple programs. (For example: Mileage and hours from an Endurance Ride can not be recorded toward Distance Program hours.)
  • All riding must be done on trails, arena riding and lesson hours are not eligible.
  • Log sheets can be mailed monthly or whenever you complete a level.
  • TWHBEA Trail Program Log sheets must be postmarked by October 15th. Separate log books or pages must be used for each horse.

Participants in the Distance Program and Open Gaited Distance Program must utilize the log sheets provided by TWHBEA.

  • TWHBEA will be collaborating with organized trail associations on point tabulations for Competitive Trail Riding. Endurance and Limited Distance Program points will be tracked through AERC & SEDRA.
  • Trail programs year runs October 1 – September 30.
