TWHBEA mourns the passing of Michigan board member Carol Ann Branam, who died on May 1, 2025, at age 88, just after tending to her beloved horses at Triple Oak Farm, as she had for more than sixty years. A passionate advocate for the Tennessee Walking Horse, Carol was instrumental in bringing top bloodlines to Michigan and introducing countless families to the breed she so dearly loved. Her tireless commitment to youth education, industry service, and horse welfare earned her lifetime achievement honors from the Michigan Horse Council and the Walking Horse Association of Michigan. Known for her grit, generosity, and deeply rooted faith, Carol was a trailblazer whose influence will be felt for generations to come.
