Stables on Sunday, June 15. Agriculture commissioners andofficialsfrom14southernstates,alongwithPuerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, gathered for a uniquely Tennessee experience – an up-close look at the Tennessee Walking Horse. The visit was coordinated by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA), and the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration.
Guests were welcomed by Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Charlie Hatcher, with TWHBEA CEO Mark Farrar serving as emcee for the event. The afternoon featured a lineup of exhibitions that showcased the beauty, versatility, and athleticism of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Lynn Womack and Emery Sims led a mare and foal, followed by Hannah Pulvers

WGC IT’S THE MEDALIST, and Bill Callaway rode WGC MILLIONAIRE’S ROW.JohnAllanCallaway concluded the exhibition with WGC OHTANI and three-time World Grand Champion JUSTIFIED HONORS, who quickly became a favorite among guests posing for photos.
Sid Miller, the Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture, was all smiles as he rode SIDE LINED.
Following the exhibitions, Pulvers and the Callaway team extended a special invitation to visiting commissioners to ride a Tennessee Walking Horse, many for the first time. Their enthusiasm was shared by several commissioners’ children, who also had the opportunity to ride both pleasure and performance horses, adding a lighthearted and family-friendly spirit to the afternoon.
In addition to the equine demonstrations, guests enjoyed sweet treats from Nash Family Creamery and a whiskey tasting from Uncle Nearest. The event also served as a timely opportunity to provide an update on the Horse Protection Act (HPA), led by Deputy Commissioner Andy Holt, Farrar, Celebration CEO Warren Wells, and Celebration Board Chairman Jeffrey Howard.
