Special Awards & Incentives Offered at TWHBEA World Versatility Championship presented by Manna Pro®
Battle of the Saddles Showdown (B.O.S.S.) is a high point program that showcases the versatility of our breed while encouraging the participation in both traditional and western dressage classes at the International and World Versatility Championship. Exhibitors will nominate a horse/rider team for this award and then compete in both the traditional and western dressage in both shows. The percentage points from the horse/rider team’s highest scoring traditional dressage test and highest scoring western dressage test from the WVC and International will be tallied for one overall percentage score per nomination. This will be a total of four tests (one traditional and one western test from each show). The winner will take home $500 (half from WHOA and half from TWHBEA).
EquiSkill Pattern Awards will once again be offered for the top five riders at the World Versatility Championship. Riders completing a pattern in any equitation class (English and Stock Seat) are eligible for the award. Judges will score patterns using the Equiskill Pattern Score Sheet & Credit/Penalties charge. For riders who show in multiple classes, their score from each class will be added together and averaged. The final average will be their score for award purposes. The champion will receive a belt buckle and floral horseshoe. All top five riders will receive a bag of prizes. For more information, visit Equiskill Pattern Awards
ThorSport Versatility Cup is a new award program designed to recognize competitors who demonstrate excellence across multiple performance disciplines. This program encourages competitors to broaden their participation, enhance their horsemanship and showmanship skills, and pursue success across a variety of classes. The ThorSport Versatility Cup will be contested at three premier events this year: TWHBEA World Versatility Championship (July 14-16), WHOA International Grand Championship (July 14-25) and NWHA Nationals (September 20-26). Competitors will earn points in both Adult and Youth divisions in Showmanship, Equitation, Western Riding, and Reining for their chance to earn part of the $12,000 offered in this program. While it’s not required to compete in all three events, exhibitors who do will receive an additional 10 point participation bonus. For more information, visit https://twhbea.com/21007-2/
