The Tennessee Walking Horse breed will be proudly represented this summer as Tami Steinbrecher and her standout partner, THE WICKED WOLF, take center stage at BreyerFest, held July 10–12, 2026, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
After auditioning last winter, Steinbrecher and “Timber” were selected earlier this year to participate in the special showcase, “Dare to Be Different,” a featured group of six exceptional horses representing a variety of breeds. Notably, THE WICKED WOLF will be the only Tennessee Walking Horse in this elite lineup, highlighting the breed’s versatility and excellence alongside top equine athletes from across disciplines. The group will present three performances during BreyerFest, followed by meet-and-greet opportunities at their stalls.
Known affectionately as “Timber,” the 15-year-old chestnut Tennessee Walking Horse has built an impressive résumé with Steinbrecher over the past decade. The pair began in pleasure and versatility classes before discovering Western Dressage, where they quickly rose to national prominence. Their accomplishments include multiple championships at the Western Dressage Association of America World Show, two SmartPak/USEF Horse of the Year titles, and the distinction of becoming the first Tennessee Walking Horse to earn the WDAA Supreme Championship. Together, they have become powerful ambassadors for both Western Dressage and the Tennessee Walking Horse breed.
BreyerFest, one of the nation’s premier equine festivals, draws thousands of horse enthusiasts each year to celebrate horses, model horses, and equestrian culture.
