TWHBEA Appoints New Secretary

Lewisburg, TN - The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) is pleased to announce that, effective January 7, 2012,  Alie Napier has been appointed the Association’s Secretary. Miss Napier, following longtime Secretary Sharon Brandon, is only the fifth person to serve in this vital position. She brings a wealth of experience and a longstanding love of our breed to TWHBEA. Discussing this exciting new appointment, President Marty Irby related, "Miss Napier is one of the most hard-working, talented, and dedicated individuals I have ever known. Her energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism will be tremendously beneficial to our Executive Committee, and we are fortunate to have her. I thank our EC for their support of Miss Napier, and thank Miss Napier for her willingness to serve our great breed, and association."

Born and raised in Northern Kentucky, Miss Napier earned an Associates of Arts degree in Exercise Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Thomas More College before relocating to Shelbyville, Tennessee, and enrolling in the Nashville School of Law. After graduating with a Juris Doctor degree, she obtained employment as an attorney with the Norton Law Firm, P.C., in Shelbyville. A lifelong Tennessee Walking Horse enthusiast, Miss Napier has not missed a show season since she received her first horse at the age of five. In 1996 she won a Walking Pony World Championship aboard Pride’s Aerostar. She currently shows in the amateur division and is also an avid trail rider.
