Crawford Named TWHBEA Performance Horse Ambassador

Lewisburg, TN - The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ And Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) was pleased to present its 2013 Performance Horse Ambassador Award to Sheryl Crawford of Carrollton, Georgia. A lifelong horse enthusiast and a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse community since the 1960s, Sheryl Crawford has competed in nearly every division and she is a successful breeder of show quality Tennessee Walking Horses. An industry leader for many years, she has served multiple terms as a director and officer for TWHBEA. In support of the performance horse she has advocated for our breed at USDA Listening Sessions, founded and organized the Tennessee Walking Horses of Today Conference and produced a video staring her beloved stallion Command & Control that continues to be used by organizations and individuals to help promote and educate others about the performance horse.

The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA), headquartered in Lewisburg, Tennessee, is the oldest and most prestigious organization devoted to the promotion of the breed. Founded in 1935, the breed registry was established to record the pedigrees of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Its goal is to maintain the purity of the breed, to promote greater awareness of the Tennessee Walking Horse and its qualities, to encourage expansion of the breed, and to help assure its general welfare.
